Ham and cheese sliders

Here’s a crowd-favorite recipe for Ham and Cheese Sliders 🥪 — buttery, melty, and perfect for parties or an easy dinner.


Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls work great)
  • ½–1 lb sliced ham
  • 6–8 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted

For the topping:

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare rolls
    • Slice the entire pack of rolls in half horizontally (keep them connected).
    • Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer fillings
    • Add a layer of ham evenly over the rolls.
    • Place cheese slices on top.
    • Cover with the top half of the rolls.
  4. Make butter topping
    • In a bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Assemble & bake
    • Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the sliders.
    • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake another 5–10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Serve
    • Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Tips

  • Extra flavor: Add a thin layer of mayo or honey mustard inside the rolls.
  • Crispier tops: Bake uncovered a little longer at the end.
  • Make ahead: Assemble ahead of time, refrigerate, and bake when ready.
