Blueberry Biscuits

Here’s a soft, buttery blueberry biscuits recipe 🫐🥐 — slightly sweet, fluffy, and perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients (Makes 8–10 biscuits)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp lemon juice)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Optional glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk or lemon juice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Set to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. Cut in butter
    • Add cold butter and mix until crumbly (like coarse crumbs).
  4. Add liquid
    • Pour in buttermilk and gently mix until dough just comes together.
  5. Fold in blueberries
    • Carefully fold them in so they don’t burst too much.
  6. Shape biscuits
    • Turn dough onto a floured surface, gently pat to about 1-inch thick.
    • Cut into rounds or squares.
  7. Bake
    • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
  8. Glaze (optional)
    • Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm biscuits.

Tips

  • Keep butter cold for flaky layers ❄️
