Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 2 smoked sausages (like kielbasa or beef sausage), sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (or vinegar)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry, for thickening)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage
    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan over medium heat.
    • Add sliced sausage and cook until browned (4–5 minutes).
    • Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the broccoli
    • In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed.
    • Add broccoli and cook 4–5 minutes until slightly tender (you can add a splash of water and cover to steam).
    • Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the shrimp
    • Add shrimp to the pan. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.
    • Don’t overcook — shrimp cook fast!
  4. Make the sauce
    • Lower heat. Add garlic and cook briefly (30 seconds).
    • Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Combine everything
    • Return sausage and broccoli to the pan.
    • Pour in cornstarch slurry and stir.
    • Cook 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
  6. Serve
    • Serve hot over rice, noodles, or on its own.

Tips

  • Add bell peppers or carrots for more veggies 🌈
  • Use brown sugar instead of honey for a deeper flavor
  • A drizzle of sesame oil at the end adds extra richness
