Marinara sauce

🥘 Ingredients (about 4 cups):

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil (or a few fresh leaves)
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
