🥘 Ingredients (4–6 servings):

  • 1 pkg (about 9–10 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes or tomato puree
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half (optional, for creamy version)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing
  • Optional garnish: grated Parmesan, fresh basil, or parsley

1. Sauté Aromatics

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat
  • Sauté onion and garlic until softened and fragrant

2. Add Tomatoes & Broth
