Cooking bacon in the oven is one of the easiest (and cleanest) ways to get it perfectly crispy 🔥

🥓 How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

1. Preheat

  • Set your oven to 200°C (400°F)

2. Prepare the tray

  • Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper (easy cleanup!)
  • Optional: place a wire rack on top so the bacon cooks evenly

3. Arrange bacon

  • Lay strips in a single layer (don’t overlap)

4. Bake

  • Put the tray in the oven and cook for:
    • 10–15 minutes = softer bacon
    • 15–20 minutes = crispy bacon

5. Drain

  • Remove and place bacon on paper towels to absorb extra grease

💡 Tips

  • No need to flip the bacon
  • Start with a cold oven if you want slightly more even cooking (optional trick)
  • Keep an eye on it near the end—it can go from perfect to burnt fast!

🍯 Optional Flavor Ideas

  • Sprinkle a little brown sugar + black pepper for sweet & spicy
  • Add a light brush of maple syrup before baking
