Beef broth is a savory, flavorful liquid made by simmering beef, bones, and vegetables. It’s a staple in soups, stews, gravies, and sauces, and adds rich depth to any dish.

  • 2–3 lbs beef bones (marrow or meaty bones)
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

  • 8 cups water
  • Salt to taste

  5. Strain: Remove bones and vegetables. Strain broth through a fine mesh.
  6. Season & store: Add salt to taste. Cool and refrigerate (up to 5 days) or freeze (up to 3 months).
