🍎 Apple Cake

Apple cake is a moist, spiced cake full of tender apple chunks. Perfect for fall, dessert, or anytime you crave a warm, fruity treat!


🧾 Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk or yogurt
  • 2–3 medium apples (peeled, cored, chopped)
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts or raisins

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 9-inch round or square pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: Flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt.
  3. Cream butter & sugar: Beat together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet & dry: Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk/yogurt.
  5. Add apples: Fold in chopped apples (and nuts/raisins if using).
  6. Bake: Pour into pan and bake 40–50 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean).
  7. Cool & serve: Let cool slightly, then slice. Optional dusting of powdered sugar.

  • Use tart apples (Granny Smith) for balance
  • Caramel drizzle or cream cheese frosting makes it extra special
  • Can be made in a bundt pan for a beautiful presentation
