Pork ribs are a classic favorite for BBQs, oven-baking, or slow cooking. There are different types—baby back ribs (more tender, smaller) and spare ribs (meatier, bigger)—but all are delicious when cooked right!

  • 1–2 racks pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1–2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1–2 tsp paprika

  • BBQ sauce (optional for glazing)

1. Prep the ribs

  • Remove the silver membrane from the back for tenderness
  • Rub with oil and spices generously

2. Cooking methods

Oven-Baked (Tender & Juicy):

  • Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F)
  • Wrap ribs in foil (with a splash of water or apple juice)
  • Bake 2.5–3 hours until tender
  • Optional: Unwrap and brush with BBQ sauce, broil 5–10 min for caramelized top

Grilled (Smoky & Charred):

  • Preheat grill to medium heat
  • Cook 1.5–2 hours indirectly, turning occasionally
  • Brush with BBQ sauce toward the end

Slow Cooker (Super Easy):

  • Place ribs in slow cooker with onions, garlic, and a splash of broth
  • Cook LOW 6–8 hours
  • Finish on grill or under broiler with sauce for caramelization

🔥 Tips

  • Low and slow = tender ribs
  • For extra flavor, marinate overnight in spices or sauce
  • Don’t over-brush BBQ sauce too early—sugar can burn
