🍰 Big Mama’s Cinnamon Roll Cake

This is a soft, sweet, and gooey cinnamon cake that tastes just like a giant cinnamon roll — perfect for breakfast or dessert!


🧾 Ingredients

Cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Swirl

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven

  • Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.

2️⃣ Make the cake batter

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.

3️⃣ Add the cinnamon swirl

  • Pour half of the batter into the pan.
  • Sprinkle half of the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • Pour the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the top.

4️⃣ Swirl the layers

  • Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar through the batter.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6️⃣ Make the glaze

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle over warm cake.

🍽️ Serving

  • Slice into squares like a cake.
  • Serve warm with coffee or milk.

For extra gooeyness, add cream cheese frosting instead of glaze.
