🍗 Fried Chicken Sandwich

🧾 Ingredients (2 sandwiches)

For the chicken

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Oil for frying

For the sandwich

  • 2 burger buns
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Mayonnaise or spicy sauce

🍳 Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken
    • Place chicken in buttermilk with a little salt and pepper.
    • Let it sit 30 minutes (or longer for more flavor).
  2. Prepare the coating
    • In a bowl mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the chicken
    • Remove chicken from buttermilk.
    • Coat well in the seasoned flour.
  4. Fry the chicken
    • Heat oil in a pan to medium-high.
    • Fry chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Assemble the sandwich
    • Toast the buns lightly.
    • Spread mayonnaise or sauce on the bun.
    • Add fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
  6. Serve
    • Close the sandwich and enjoy while hot.
