Ingredients

For the Wontons

  • ½ lb ground pork or chicken

Instructions

1. Make the filling

  • Mix ground meat with green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger.

2. Fill wontons

  • Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper.
  • Fold and seal the edges with water.

3. Prepare the broth

  • Bring chicken broth to a simmer.
  • Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and vegetables.

4. Cook wontons

  • Gently drop wontons into the simmering broth.
  • Cook 4–6 minutes until they float and the filling is cooked through.

5. Serve

  • Ladle wontons and broth into bowls.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions or cilantro.

Tips

  • Freeze extra wontons for later use.
  • Add a few drops of chili oil for a spicy kick.
  • Use fresh or dried mushrooms for extra umami flavor.
