Egg salad

Egg salad is a creamy dish made with chopped hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, and simple seasonings. It’s commonly served in sandwiches, wraps, or on toast.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped celery or onion (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs
    Place eggs in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Cool and peel.
  2. Chop the eggs
    Chop into small pieces and place in a bowl.
  3. Mix the dressing
    Add mayonnaise, mustard, celery/onion, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  4. Combine
    Gently mix until creamy but still slightly chunky.
  5. Serve
    • On toast or bread
    • In lettuce wraps
    • In a sandwich
