Here’s a comforting and easy Hamburger Casserole recipe—rich, cheesy, and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

🍔 Hamburger Casserole

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery/chicken)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni, rotini, or shells)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ½ cup frozen peas or corn for extra veggies
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Meat

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.

2️⃣ Make the Casserole Mixture

  1. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, cooked beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheese, and optional vegetables. Stir until well mixed.

3️⃣ Assemble & Bake

  1. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13″ baking dish.
  2. Top with additional shredded cheese and optional breadcrumbs.
  3. Bake 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Let casserole sit 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a side salad or garlic bread.

💡 Tips

  • Swap in ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add spices like paprika, Italian seasoning, or mustard powder for extra flavor.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave—it tastes just as good the next day.

I can also give a one-pot stove-top version of hamburger casserole that skips the oven entirely—ready in under 30 minutes. Do you want me to do that?
