Spaghetti

Posted on March 10, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic, simple, and tasty spaghetti recipe that you can make in under an hour:

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 12 oz (340 g) spaghetti pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste (optional, for richer flavor)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the meat
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant.
    • Add ground beef or sausage; cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Make the sauce
    • Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste.
    • Add oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
    • Simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let flavors meld.
  4. Combine
    • Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce until coated.
  5. Serve
    • Top with grated Parmesan and fresh herbs.
    • Serve with garlic bread or a side salad for a full meal.

💡 Tip: For extra flavor, you can add a splash of red wine to the sauce while simmering or some sautéed mushrooms and bell peppers.

If you want, I can also give a one-pot spaghetti version where everything cooks together for super fast prep and minimal cleanup.

Do you want me to do that?
