Banana Bread 🍌🍞

Banana bread is a moist, sweet quick bread made from ripe bananas. It’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup sugar (can reduce to ½ cup for less sweetness)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mash bananas with melted butter. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture. Gently fold in flour until just combined. Don’t overmix.
  4. Optional add-ins: Fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve plain or with butter
  • Spread peanut butter or cream cheese
  • Toast slices lightly

✅ Tip: Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for the sweetest, most flavorful bread.

If you want, I can also share a quick 1-bowl banana bread recipe or a moist banana bread with yogurt for extra softness.
