Here’s a classic Chocolate Cake 🍫🎂—rich, moist, and perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or any chocolate craving.

Ingredients (Serves 8–10)

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 and 3/4 cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (65 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk or any milk
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line two 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pans with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract.

4. Combine Wet and Dry

  • Slowly mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
  • Stir in boiling water gradually. The batter will be thin—this makes the cake moist.

5. Bake

  • Divide batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Cool

  • Let cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.

Tips

  • For extra richness, use espresso or coffee instead of water; it enhances the chocolate flavor.
  • Frost with chocolate ganache, buttercream, or cream cheese frosting.
  • Make sure ingredients are at room temperature for best results.

If you want, I can also give you a super moist, fudgy chocolate cake recipe that’s perfect for layered cakes or celebration desserts.
