Ingredients

  • 500 g thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 1–2 bell peppers (sliced, any color)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano

Optional: hoagie rolls or bread cubes to serve


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
    • Grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the Beef and Veggies
    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
    • Sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until softened.
    • Add sliced beef, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
    • Cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
  3. Prepare the Cheese Sauce
    • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and milk until smooth.
    • Stir in Italian seasoning and half of the shredded cheese.
  4. Assemble the Casserole
    • Spread the beef and veggie mixture evenly in the baking dish.
    • Pour the cheese mixture over the top.
    • Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.
  5. Bake
    • Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve
    • Serve hot as-is or over hoagie rolls for a Philly-style sandwich feel.
