🍗 Ultimate Chicken Casserole

🧂 Ingredients

  • 2–3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 2 cups cooked rice or egg noodles (optional but common)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or double chicken if preferred)
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix:
    • chicken
    • soups
    • sour cream
    • vegetables
    • seasoning
    • rice/noodles (if using)
  3. Stir in half the cheese.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  6. Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and spread over casserole.
  7. Bake for 25–35 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Let it rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
