🍞 Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding

Ingredients

For the bread pudding:

  • 6 cups day-old bread (cubed or torn)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)

  1. Prep oven
    Preheat to 175°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Soak the bread

  4. Combine

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Stir in sugar and cream.
  3. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
