Savory, saucy noodles with tender chicken and crisp veggies—better than takeout and ready fast!


🧾 Ingredients:

🍗 For the Chow Mein:

  • 2 chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
  • 8 oz chow mein noodles (or thin spaghetti)
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 2–3 green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp oil (for stir-frying)

🥢 For the BEST Chow Mein Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional but adds depth)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

🔥 Instructions:

  1. Cook noodles
    • Boil according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Make sauce
    • In a bowl, whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  3. Cook chicken
    • Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Stir-fry veggies
    • In the same pan, add cabbage, carrots, and green onions.
    • Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes (keep them slightly crisp).
  5. Combine everything
    • Add noodles and chicken back to the pan.
    • Pour in sauce and toss well.
