Here’s a simple and delicious way to make Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli—a classic, healthy stir-fry with a sweet-savory glaze.


🍗 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 2 chicken breasts or thighs, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2–3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced (optional)

Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or mirin
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

🔥 1. Cook the chicken

  • Heat 1–2 tbsp oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat
  • Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, 5–7 minutes
  • Remove and set aside

🥦 2. Cook the broccoli

  • Add a little oil to the same pan
  • Stir-fry broccoli 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender

🍲 3. Make the teriyaki sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil
  • Pour over broccoli in the pan
  • Add cornstarch slurry to thicken
  • Stir until sauce is glossy

🔄 4. Combine

  • Return chicken to the pan
  • Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until chicken and broccoli are coated in sauce

🍽️ 5. Serve

  • Over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option
  • Optional: sprinkle with sesame seeds or chopped green onions
