Chicken parmesan

Chicken Parmesan (classic Italian-American comfort food) is crispy breaded chicken topped with rich tomato sauce and melted cheese—simple and incredibly satisfying.


🍗 Ingredients (serves 3–4)

  • 2 large chicken breasts (halved into thin cutlets)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-style)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1–2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken

  • Pound chicken to even thickness.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

2. Bread it

  • Coat in flour → dip in eggs → coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.

3. Fry until crispy

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

4. Add sauce & cheese

  • Place chicken in a baking dish.
  • Spoon marinara over each piece.
  • Top with mozzarella.

5. Bake

  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • With spaghetti or pasta
  • With garlic bread
  • Or over a fresh salad for a lighter option

For extra crunch, mix a little panko with regular breadcrumbs—and don’t skip frying before baking!
