Honey Garlic Ribs are a sweet, savory, and sticky comfort food that’s perfect for dinner or a weekend treat. Here’s a simple way to make them:


Ingredients (for 4 servings)

  • 2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs
    • Remove the silver membrane from the back of the ribs.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Make the honey garlic sauce
    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, ginger, and chili flakes if using.
  3. Cook the ribs
    Oven method:

    • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
    • Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover with foil.
    • Bake for 2–2.5 hours, until tender.

    Crockpot method:

    • Place ribs in the slow cooker, pour sauce over them.
    • Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  4. Caramelize the sauce
    • If baked: Remove foil, brush more sauce, and broil 3–5 minutes to get a sticky, caramelized finish.
    • If crockpot: After cooking, brush with extra sauce and broil in oven 3–5 minutes for a crispy glaze.
  5. Serve
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
    • Pair with rice, roasted veggies, or a simple salad.
